What We Did
MUSIC- The musical entertainment will consist of bluegrass bands including; 43 Main St. Band of Dundee, Eva and the Dog Boys of Rochester and Rebecca Colleen & the Chore Lads of Romulus.
ACTIVITES- Addtional activites will include a farmers market, basket weaving, face painting, apple bobbing, and a contest called “The Backyard Dish”. For this contest, we invite all to put together a dish of food that includes only ingredients from their property (with the exception of spices and cooking oils). The dishes will be tasted and judged by a panel and the winner will receive a prize.
FOOD- There will be a wide selection of foods available. In accordance with our store and the theme of the festival, the food and vendors need to fit a certain criteria. The vendors need to be a local individual or business and the food needs to be made up of local ingredients that are all natural or organic.
This summer, we hosted the first Pickin' in the Street festival here on Main St. The festival combined our passion for local and natural culture, local bands and artists and local and all natural foods all displayed to show the local bounty and talent of the area and to provide family friendly fun for the community
